





BMW M340i G20 G21 & M440i G22 G26 (B58) Eventuri Carbon Fibre Intake Kit (2017+)
The Eventuri Carbon Fibre Intake System for the BMW G20 M340i and G22 M440i has been engineered to deliver a less restrictive airflow path to the turbo while maintaining consistently low intake temperatures. When designing an intake for turbocharged engines, the two most critical factors are heat management and internal volume.
In the G20 and G22 B58 engine bay, the intake system sits close to the exhaust manifold, which can quickly heat soak surrounding components. Elevated intake temperatures reduce air density, forcing the turbo to work harder to produce boost. To combat this, Eventuri designed a fully sealed intake system that protects the filter from engine bay heat while ensuring a consistent supply of cooler air.
A common limitation of sealed intake systems is airflow restriction due to the factory single air feed. During development, Eventuri identified an additional opening near the wheel arch area and incorporated this into the design as a secondary cold air feed. This dual-feed system allows the turbocharger to draw air from a larger area, significantly reducing restriction compared to the factory setup.
To further combat heat soak, the airbox features an integrated heat shield with gold reflective backing, designed to minimise radiant heat transfer from the nearby exhaust manifold. The airbox itself has been engineered with a large internal volume to maximise airflow capacity, while still allowing clearance for potential aftermarket strut braces.
Replacing the restrictive factory intake tube is a smooth carbon fibre inlet tube with a significantly larger internal diameter. Starting at 111mm (4.4") and tapering down smoothly to match the turbo inlet, the tube provides a direct and turbulence-free airflow path from the filter to the turbocharger.
The system is completed with a custom high-flow dry cone filter, which is ISO tested for filtration performance and offers a significantly larger filtration area than the OEM filter while maintaining excellent engine protection.
All Eventuri components are manufactured from 100% prepreg carbon fibre, ensuring lightweight construction, exceptional strength, and a perfectly smooth internal surface for optimal airflow.
